About
svenskahelgdagar.se is a modern, fast and clean website about Swedish public holidays, school breaks and flag days. Find everything you need in one place β dates, traditions, and vacation planning tools.
Why this site?
Information about public holidays in Sweden is scattered across dozens of websites. Most were built years ago, with outdated design, awkward on mobile, and overloaded with ads. Many copy data from each other without checking official sources directly. svenskahelgdagar.se is built differently:
- Fast and mobile-friendly. The page loads in a second even on mobile data. No pop-ups, no video ads, no cookie prompts β just the information you are looking for.
- From official sources. All public holiday dates come from the Swedish Code of Statutes (riksdagen.se/svenskforfattningssamling) and the ordinance on public flag days. School breaks follow Skolverket guidance and municipal decisions.
- Two languages. Information is available in Swedish and English β so both residents of Sweden and visitors can find what they need in their own language.
- Does not track you. No Google Analytics, no personal data collection, no sharing with advertising networks. Your privacy stays yours.
What you will find
- Public holidays β all of Sweden's official holidays, dates, traditions and history
- School breaks β official breaks for the current and next academic year
- Flag days β when the Swedish flag is raised and under which rule
- Vacation planner β shows how to get more days off with fewer leave days
